Plant description

Extracted by steam distillation from the parts aeree flowering of Thymus vulgaris L. (thyme common, thyme red) parzially ossidato — the oil diventa rossastro for ossidation of the thymol and of the carvacrol in contact with the air and the metallo of the alambicco. The 'thyme red' not and a cultivar or a chemotype botanic distinto, but semplicely the oil of thyme common which has subito a parzial ossidation termic and atmosferic during the distillation traditional in alambicchi of ferro or rame, which catalizzano the conversione of the thymol in timochinone (from the colore rossastro). The timochinone and a powerful antioxidant and antitumoral documented in the studies in vitro and in vivo on tumori of the pancreas and of the colon. The phytochemical profile and analogo to the thyme common CT thymol — thymol (30-55%), carvacrol (5-15%), para-cimene (15-30%) — with aggiunta of timochinone. The properties terapeutic are simili to the thyme common: antibacterial powerful, antiviral, immune-stimulating and tonic. Contraindicated during pregnancy, epilepsy and children. In aromatherapy is used as the thyme common thymol. Top note warm, phenolic, timolic and herbaceous.

Recipes & blends
Anti-infettive respiratory adults

2 drops Thyme red + 3 drops Ravintsara + 2 drops Eucalyptus radiata in 20 ml of almond oil. Massage onto chest, back and plant of the feet three times to day in the infections respiratory acute. Only adults.

Antifungino ungueal

2 drops Thyme red + 2 drops Oregano + 2 drops Lavender in 20 ml of oil of ricino. Apply to the nails micotic with a pennellino twice a day for cicli of 4-6 weeks.

Stimolante immunitario potenziato

1 drop Thyme red + 2 drops Frankincense + 3 drops Ravintsara in the diffuser. Blend immune-stimulating in case of infermita recidivant or in the periods of strong stress immunitario. Only adults.

Antiseptic wounds skin

1 drop Thyme red + 2 drops Tea tree + 2 drops Lavender in 10 ml of gel of aloe vera. Apply to wounds superficial and abrasions as antiseptic natural. Dilute always.

Infections digestive

1 drop Thyme red + 2 drops Fennel + 2 drops Lemon balm in 20 ml of almond oil. Massage on the abdomen in case of turbe digestive of origin infettive. Only adults.

Contraindications
Can irritare the mucous membranes and the skin and provocare sensitization. Use with moderation and to low diluitions. Avoid during pregnancy.
