Extracted by cold pressing or distillation from the peel and from the leaves of Citrus hystrix DC. (combava, kaffir lime, lime mauriziano), citrus fruit spinous of the Rutaceae native of the Asia tropical — probably isole of Mauritius or Indonesia — widely cultivated in Southeast Asiatico, where the leaves to doppio lobo characteristic are a ingredient imprescindible of the kitchen tailandese, cambogiana and indonesiana. The combava is identificable to colpo of occhio for the peel strongly verrucous and the leaves 'doppie' with picciolo alato. The phytochemical profile of the peel is dominated from β-pinene (40-60%), limonene (15-25%) and sabinene, with citronellal in traces; the leaves have invece citronellol (60-80%) and linalool — a profile completaly different from the peel. In aromatherapy the peel is used as antiseptic environmental fresh, digestive and carminative, mentre the leaves are impiegate for the fragrance floral-citric intense and as insettifugo. The combava has properties depurative of the blood and antistress documented in the fitoterapia asiatic. Photosensitizing (pressofrigido). Top-to-heart note citrusy, fresh and intensaly citrina.

3 drops of Combava + 2 drops of Ylang Ylang + 2 drops of Palmarosa in the diffuser for 20 minutes.
4 drops of Combava + 3 drops of Lavender + 2 drops of Ravintsara + 1 drop of Ginger in 30 ml of arnica oil. Massage ontolle areas dolenti.
8 drops of Combava + 5 drops of Grapefruit + 3 drops of Geranium in 100 ml of distilled water.
