Lavandin — Nardea

Plant description

Extracted by steam distillation from the flowering tops of Lavandula × intermedia Emeric ex Loisel. (lavandino, lavandin), hybrid spontaneo and poi selezionato artificially among the lavender officinal (L. angustifolia) and the lavender spica (L. latifolia), cultivated intensively sugli altopiani of the Provence, of the Languedoc and of the Drôme in France. The lavandino is the main oil of 'lavender' of the commercio worldwide: produce 4-8 times more oil for ettaro compared to the lavender officinal (L. angustifolia), but has a profile chemical and therapeutic significativaly different. The phytochemical profile is dominated by linalool (25-40%), linalyl-acetate (25-40%) and camphor (6-12%) — the camphor, assente in the lavender officinal, is the main criterio chemical of distintion among the due. The camphor aggiunge analgesic properties and rubefacent but reduces the sedative effect undiluted of the lavender angustifolia. The lavandino is excellent as fragrance for detersive, cosmetic and rooms, but less recommended for the protocolli aromaterapic of alta precisione. Top-to-heart note lavandacea, fresh and slightly camphorata.

Perfumery: note floral more intense and persistent of the lavender fine.
Muscular: analgesic properties of the component canforato.
Purificante: antiseptic, useful for wounds superficial and oily skin.
Diffuser: more duratura and penetrating of the lavender vera.

Recipes & blends

Lavender quotidiana

5 drops of Lavandino + 3 drops of Bergamot + 2 drops of Geranium in the diffuser. Version economic and more duratura of the classic blend to the lavender, perfetto for the use quotidiano domestic.

Spray tissues

15 drops of Lavandino + 10 drops of Cedarwood Virginia in 100 ml of distilled water with 10 ml of alcol etilic in flacone spray. Vaporizzare on tissues, biancheria and tende for a fragrance natural persistent.

Contraindications

Avoid during pregnancy (camphor). Do not use on children small. Not confondere with Lavandula angustifolia (more fine and terapeuticaly different). The lavandino not is substitute 1:1 of the lavender vera for scopi terapeutic.
