Extracted by steam distillation from the bark or from the buds of Betula pendula Roth (birch white, silver birch) or of Betula slow L. (birch black, cherry birch), trees of the Betulacee originari rispettivaly of the Europe and of the North America. THE due oils have profili chimic radically different: the birch white (buds) and ricca in betulina, alpha and beta-pinene, sabinene and germacrene-D; the birch black (bark) and dominated from salicilato of methyl (98-99%) — the molecule of the aspirina — with properties anti-inflammatory, analgesic and drenant potentissime but also alta tossicita for ingestione. In aromatherapy si usa the birch black with estrema caution for topical use diluted (max 0.5%) for the properties anti-reumatic, analgesic and of stimolation of the drenaggio renale; the birch white and more safe and has properties purificant, diuretic and tonic-skin. Contraindicated during pregnancy, in children, in case of allergy to the aspirina and in chi assume anticoagulant. Top note fresh, medicinal, slightly balsamic.

4 drops Birch + 3 drops Pepper black + 2 drops Rosemary in 30 ml of arnica oil. The massage sportive classic for muscle pain, cramps and affaticamento post-allenamento.
