Extracted by steam distillation from the needles and from the twigs young of Pinus pinaster Aiton (pine marittimo, pin des Landes, pine de Galicia), conifera of the Pinaceae widespread on the coasts atlantic of the penisola iberic and of the Golfo of Guascogna, with estese piantagioni artificial in the Landes French and in Portugal. The pine marittimo is the species from the which bark si estrae the Pycnogenol — the noto extracted oligomeric procianidinic — but the essential oil of the needles has a profile chemical completaly distinto. The phytochemical profile is dominated by α-pinene (40-60%), β-pinene (15-25%) and δ-3-carene, with limonene, myrcene and small amount of longifoleene. THE pineni are molecules with documented activity broncodilatatrice, antibacterial, antioxidant and modulatrice of the acetilcolinesterasi — a mechanism of interesse in the ricerca on the memory and on the funzione cognitive. In aromatherapy it is used as tonic of the sistema respiratory (expectorant, decongestant), stimulating of the nervous system, analgesic muscular light and as fragrance boscous-marino evocative of the pinete coastal. Recommended for the asthenia primaverile, the convalescenza and the muscle pain from affaticamento. Top note fresh, resinous and marina.

4 drops of Pine marittimo + 3 drops of Eucalyptus + 2 drops of Ravintsara + 1 drop of Thyme white in 30 ml of almond oil.
4 drops of Pine marittimo + 3 drops of Juniper + 2 drops of Cypress in 30 ml of almond oil. Massage verso the heart.
3 drops of Pine marittimo + 2 drops of Cedarwood atlantic + 2 drops of Bergamot + 1 drop of Salt marino (1 presa) in the diffuser.
