Litsea — Nardea

Plant description

Extracted by steam distillation from the fruits (berries) of Litsea cubeba (Lour.) Pers. (litsea cubeba, may chang), small tree of the Lauracee native of the China southern, of Taiwan and of the Southeast Asiatico, where and cultivated for the industry of the essential oils and of the perfumery (especially for the extraction of citral which is poi used in the sintesi of the vitamina TO). The phytochemical profile is dominated by citral totale (geranial + neral: 60-80%) with linalool, geraniol and d-limonene. The litsea is often confusa with the lemongrass for the phytochemical profile simile but has a fragrance more gentle, fresh and fruity, with less note verdi-erbacee. In aromatherapy and used as antisettive to largo spectrum (antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral), as anxiolytic and antidepressant, as tonic cardiaco light, as carminative and as toning of the oily skin and acneic. Recipes & blends

Anxiolytic citralic

4 drops Litsea + 3 drops Bergamot + 2 drops Lavender in the diffuser. The citral of the litsea has action anxiolytic simile to the lemongrass but more gentle and fruity.

Antiseptic respiratory tract

4 drops Litsea + 3 drops Ravintsara + 2 drops Tea tree in the diffuser. Blend antiviral and antibacterial for the prevention and the treatment of the infections respiratory.

Seboregolatore oily skin

3 drops Litsea + 2 drops Geranium + 2 drops Tea tree in 30 ml of gel of aloe vera. The citral regulates the production sebacea and has antibacterial action on the acne bacterial.

In linea general the essential oil of litsea is non-toxic and not irritates, but is comunque from avoid during pregnancy and during the breastfeeding.
