Plant description

Eucalyptus Staigeriana (Eucalyptus staigeriana), known as Lemon-Scented Eucalyptus for its citrus profile with notes of lemon and geranium, is the most delicate eucalyptus species and the one best suited to wider use, including on sensitive skin. Its oil is rich in geranial, neral and limonene with a presence of 1,8-cineole, giving it a fresh, sweet and citrus aroma that sets it clearly apart from the other species. Thanks to its sweetness and tolerability, it is among the few eucalyptus oils also suitable for children over 3 years of age (in reduced doses). It is analgesic, antiseptic and stimulating to the immune system.

Australia (Queensland northern); cultivated also in Brazil and Guatemala.

Main uses
  • Vie respiratory: balsamic and decongestant, excellent for children above the 3 years; reduces bronchitis and cold.
  • Stings of insects: soothing and anti-inflammatory on stings and irritations skin.
  • Analgesic: reduces muscle pain and reumatic in topical application diluted.
  • Immunostimulating: stimulates the defenses natural in periods influenzal.
  • Environment: deodorant and purifying, creates an atmosphere fresh and clean.
Recipes & blends
Blend children cold (3+ years)

1 drop of Eucalyptus Staigeriana + 1 drop of Ravintsara in 30 ml of almond oil. Massage delicataly on the chest.

Lozione stings of insects

4 drops of Eucalyptus Staigeriana + 3 drops of Lavender + 2 drops of Tea Tree in 30 ml of gel of aloe vera.

Diffuser estate fresh

4 drops of Eucalyptus Staigeriana + 2 drops of Lemon + 2 drops of Mint peppermint in the diffuser.

Contraindications
Do not swallow. Do not apply undiluted on the skin. Avoid during pregnancy. In children under the 3 years avoid; among 3 and 6 years use only in diffusione or in doses very low (1%). Keep lontano from eyes and mucous membranes.
