Plant description

Extracted by steam distillation from the bark of Betula slow L. (birch sweet, birch ciliegio, black birch), tree of the Betulacee widespread in the forests decidue of the North America oriental (from the Canada southern to the Appalachi), where grows in the suoli ben drenati and ricchi of materia organic. The birch sweet is botanicaly different from the birch European (B. pendula) and produce a oil with composition radically different: the its oil of bark contains 95-99% of salicilato of methyl — the stessa molecule abbondant in the wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens). The salicilato of methyl is a FANS natural topical with powerful activity analgesic, anti-inflammatory and rubefacient — the molecule active in the creams sportive as Bengay and Tiger Balm. L'oil of birch sweet is pertanto used exclusively for via topical as analgesic muscular and joint, antireumatic, anti-cellulite and rubefacient. Contraindicated during pregnancy, children and people sensible to the aspirina. From not confondere with the oil of birch European (B. pendula), with composition and usi completaly different. Top note phenolic, mentholated and penetrating.

Recipes & blends
Oil anti-pain

4 drops of Birch sweet + 3 drops of Mint peppermint + 2 drops of Wintergreen in 30 ml of arnica oil. Massage ontolle aree dolorant with movements circular. Avoid on sensory skin and during pregnancy.

Contraindications
Toxic in doses high (the salicilato of methyl is toxic sistemic). Do not use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, children. Contraindicated in allergy to the aspirina or in terapia with anticoagulant. Use always diluted (max 2%).
