Plant description

Extracted by steam distillation from the flowering tops of Sage rosmarinus Spenn. (sin. Rosmarinus officinalis L.) chemotype camphor — the chemotype caratterizzato from the prevalenza of camphor in the profile terpenic (15-30%), typical of the popolations alpine and appenninic of elevation elevata, in particular of the Spain central, of the Sud of the France and of the areas montane italiane. The camphor is a chetone biciclic with powerful properties stimolant of the nervous system central — in eccesso is neurotossic and convulsivant — which provides to this chemotype the maggiore activity miorelaxing and analgesic of the tre CT principal, but also the more high profile of risk. The phytochemical profile is dominated by camphor (15-30%), α-pinene (20-35%), 1,8-cineole (15-25%) and camfene. In aromatherapy is recommended as tonic muscular of choice in the massage sportive, as analgesic joint in the rheumatism and as stimulating respiratory in the situations of hypotension and asthenia. Contraindicated during pregnancy, epilepsy and children. Very fresh top note, camphorata and penetrating.

Recipes & blends
Massage muscular sportive

3 drops of Rosemary ct. camphor + 3 drops of Lavender + 2 drops of Pepper black in 30 ml of carrier oil. Massage on muscles tired first and after the activity physical.

Balm joint

2 drops of Rosemary ct. camphor + 2 drops of Juniper + 2 drops of Eucalyptus citriodora in 20 ml of arnica oil. Apply to ginocchia and joints dolenti.

Contraindications
Do not use during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in case of epilepsy. Avoid in children under the 6 years. The camphor is neurotossic ad alte doses; rispettare the concentrations indicate. Do not apply to face or mucous membranes.
