L'absolute or the oil concreto of rose centifolia and obtained for solvent extraction or enfleurage from the petals fresh of the Rose centifolia L. ('rose of the cento petals', rose of Grasse or rose of the Morocco), hybrid cultivated selezionato the which origin and attribuita to the botanic olandesi of the XVII century. The principal aree of production are Grasse (France) — ormai in ridution — and especially the Morocco (Valle of the Rose, Dades). Not va confusa with the Rose damascena (of Damasco), the more common in commercio, extracted for distillation. The profile and dominated from feniletilic-alcol (50-65%), alcol benzilic, geraniol, citronellol and nonadecano, with rose ossido in traces (responsible of the note characteristic). The vera rose centifolia — rarissima and costosissima (4-6 milioni of petals for 1 kg of absolute) — and considered the materia first more precious of the perfumery. In aromatherapy and the remedy for the amore, for the pain emotional and for the mature skin: has action antioxidant, healing, antidepressant and aphrodisiaca documented. Heart note floral-rotonda, the more complessa and 'rosei' among all the flowers.

• L'essential oil of rose centifolia is recommended in case of rottura of capillari, congiuntivite (rose water), dry skin, eczema, herpes, skin mature and sensitive, rughe.
