Extracted by steam distillation from the parts aeree flowering of Pelargonium × asperum Ehrh. ex Willd. (sin. P. graveolens L'Hér., geranium rosat, geranium borbon), hybrid aromatic of the Geraniacee derived from incroci among species sudafricane of the Capo of Buona Speranza, cultivated mainly to Réunion, Madagascar, Egypt, Morocco and China. The geranium of Réunion (detto 'Bourbon') is considered of quality superiore for the profile balanced and the finezza aromatic. The phytochemical profile is dominated by citronellol (25-40%), geraniol (15-25%) and formiato of citronellile, with linalool, isomenton and 6,9-guaiadiene as components minor. The citronellol and the geraniol provide the antibacterial properties, antifungal and antiviral; the formiato of citronellile contributes to the note floral-fruity characteristic of the fragrance. 6 drops of Geranium + 3 drops of Lavender + 3 drops of Neroli in 50 ml of cream base neutra not scented. Mix well and store in barattolo scuro.
4 drops of Geranium + 3 drops of Lavender + 2 drops of Sage Sclarea + 2 drops of Rose in 30 ml of almond oil. Massage ontol basso abdomen in case of pain mestrual.
15 drops of Geranium + 10 drops of Citronella + 10 drops of Eucalyptus Citriodora + 5 drops of Lavender in 100 ml of water + 10 ml of alcohol. Spray on skin exposed.
