Extracted by steam distillation from the sommita flowering of Anthemis mixta L. (chamomile mista, chamomile common) or of Chamaemelum nobile (L.) All. (chamomile Roman — but vedi voce specific), plant herbaceous annual of the Asteracee widespread in the areas mediterranee on the soils agricoli, to the bordi of the strade and of the campi. The 'chamomile common' (Anthemis mixta) and less known and studiata of the chamomile Roman (C. nobile) and of the chamomile tedesca (Matricaria chamomilla). The phytochemical profile varia significativaly among the species of the genus Anthemis: generally ricco in esters monoterpenic (butile-angelicate, isobutile-angelicate), with ossidi terpenic and articolo-sessquiterpeni. The properties are analoghe but more blande of the camomille more studiate: anti-inflammatory moderate, antispasmodic, sedative light, carminative and healing skin. The camomille common are frequentely used in erboristeria as tisane calmant and digestive. In aromatherapy and used as anti-inflammatory skin sweet, antispasmodic digestive, sedative gentle and as tonic for sensory skin and reattive. Heart note sweet-herbaceous, floral of fieno and slightly fruity.

3 drops Chamomile common + 2 drops Lavender + 2 drops Geranium in 30 ml of rosehip oil. Apply twice a day on the areas with eczema or dermatite atopic.
3 drops Chamomile common + 3 drops Lavender in 30 ml of gel of aloe vera undiluted. Apply abbondantely on the areas scottate for a effect soothing and anti-eritema immediato.

1 drop Chamomile common + 1 drop Lavender + 1 drop Mandarin in 20 ml of almond oil. Massage onto back and feet of the bambino (from the 3 years) in case of irrequietezza and colite nervous.
