Extracted by steam distillation from the wood of Callitris intratropic R.T.Baker & H.G.Sm. (cypress blue australiano, blue cypress), conifera of the Cupressacee endemic of the Australia northern (Northern Territory, Queensland northern), where grows in the savane tropical and in the forests aperte on soils sabbious ben drenati. The name 'cypress blue' derives from the colore characteristic of the oil distillate, which assume a tonality blue-indaco for the presence of guaiazulene — a sesquiterpene azzurro product from the decomposition pirolitic of the guaiolo during the distillation, analogo to the chamazulene of the chamomile common. The phytochemical profile is dominated by guaiazulene (6-12%), γ-eudesmolo, β-eudesmolo and α-eudesmolo — sesquiterpenes alcoholic with documented activity anti-inflammatory, healing and antioxidant. In aromatherapy it is used as anti-inflammatory skin of first choice for eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and dermatiti irritative, as antiallergic, healing and antiistaminic natural. The guaiazulene is responsible also of the documented antibacterial properties and antifungal skin. The fragrance is dry, woody and slightly fumoso, with a complessity earthy-resinous only among the conifere australiane. Heart note-base earthy, resinous and caratteristicaly azzurra.

4 drops of Cypress blue + 3 drops of Lavender + 2 drops of Chamomile Roman in 30 ml of oil of calendula. Apply to skin irritata or infiammata with movements gentili for lenire rossori and prurito.
3 drops of Cypress blue + 3 drops of Fir balsamic + 2 drops of Juniper in the diffuser. Note uniche of wood blue and resin creano to atmosphere meditative and purifying ispirata to the forests australiane.
