Plant description

Extracted by steam distillation from the wood of Juniperus virginiana L. (cedarwood of the Virginia, cedarwood red oriental), conifera of the Cupressacee widely widespread in the North America oriental, from the Canada southern up to to the Florida. Nonostante the name commercial 'cedarwood', the cedarwood of the Virginia appartiene to the genus Juniperus (juniper) and not to Cedrus — a of the molte classifications populari fuorviant in the mercato of the essential oils. Recipes & blends

Note legnous autunnal

3 drops of Cedarwood Virginia + 2 drops of Patchouli + 2 drops of Sandalwood + 1 drop of Orange sweet in the diffuser. Evokes the atmosphere of the autunno with note calde, terrous and legnous.

Dopobarba natural

3 drops of Cedarwood Virginia + 2 drops of Geranium + 1 drop of Bergamot in 30 ml of jojoba oil. Apply to face after the rasatura as dopobarba natural with properties lenitive and astringent.

Contraindications

Avoid during pregnancy (potenzially abortive in doses high). Not confondere with the vero cedarwood (Cedrus atlantic). Possible irritating skin if not diluted.
